Benson Boone - Live at The Masonic

Benson Boone has been quickly on the rise since his hit song "Beautiful Things" went viral on the social media app, Tik Tok. He has thousands of people in awe of his raw talent and amazing lyrical talent.

Performing at The Masonic in San Francisco only proved further how far this young artist will go. I went in pretty blind when it came to Benson Boone, yes, I knew his hit song, but that's about it. I quickly was in complete amazement of the talent on that stage.

Before we go into his performance, lets talk about his opener, Mimi Webb. This young artist from The UK brought an energetic performance singing her hits such as "Ghost of you" and her new song "Mistake"

Webb made everyone feel seen and important, getting everyone involved in the crowd. She had a natural ability while on stage to command attention and entertain. This being her first time touring in America, she definitely made an impact and will not easily leave our minds due to her amazing vocals and performance.

Going back to Boone, He began with an intro on piano to his song "Be someone". The crowd roared as soon as they saw Boone enter and sit at that piano. The gentle intro quickly turned into an upbeat tune that everyone was singing along to. Interacting with his band ensemble, he made his way to the upper half of the stage, performing and unexpected backflip. Everyone was in awe and cheered him on.

He continued with songs such as "Hello Love", "Friend" and one of his most popular songs, "Cry". Throughout the performances of these songs, he would isolate vocals and really show his amazing voice and its abilities.

Before he began singing the song, "My greatest fear" he spoke about his own greatest fear and asked that everyone take a moment to just listen and put their phones away while he sang the first couple verses and to my surprise, everyone around respected that request and proceeded to just listen and sway to his amazing lyrics and vocals, seeing some around me cry.

Overall this performance was unexpected, natural and beautiful.

Benson Boone is a force to be reckoned with and we can be absolutely sure that he will do amazing things in the near future.
